Mine get so gross! This was so useful!

  1. Gather Your Supplies:
Set out your baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap. Make sure your cutting board is dry.

  2. Sprinkle Baking Soda:
Lay your board flat and sprinkle baking soda generously over the surface. Its mild abrasiveness helps lift stains while neutralizing odors.

  3. Add Hydrogen Peroxide:
Pour a small amount over the baking soda—just enough to create a paste. Hydrogen peroxide acts as a gentle bleaching agent that lifts deep stains.

  4. Add a Few Drops of Dish Soap:
This boosts the cleaning action by cutting through grease and oils.

  5. Let It Sit:
No scrubbing needed! Let the mixture sit on the board for 10–15 minutes so it can break down stains, kill bacteria, and remove odors.

  6. Rinse Thoroughly:
Rinse with warm water and wipe away the paste with a sponge or cloth. You’ll notice the stains are dramatically reduced and odors are gone.

  7. Dry Completely:
Dry with a clean towel or let it air dry. Keeping it dry prevents bacteria or mold from developing.
