I am a mother to two wonderful girls, but our journey has been far from easy. My eldest daughter is 16 years old and comes from my first marriage. Her name is Ameenah. The sudden loss of her father meant she was left with a sum of $50,000, money I was legally responsible for managing until she turned 18. This money was meant to be a foundation for her future.

My second daughter, Liyana, is 9 years old and my child with my current husband, Malik. My husband and I had a dream for Liyana: we wanted her to attend the same excellent private school that many children in our community went to.
