Step 3: Infuse the Ginger
Add the sliced ginger to the boiling water.
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes. The longer it simmers, the stronger the flavor and the more nutrients are extracted.
Step 4: Strain the Water
Remove the saucepan from heat.
Pour the ginger water through a fine sieve or strainer into a cup or teapot, separating the ginger slices from the liquid.

For extra flavor and health benefits, squeeze in a few drops of fresh lemon juice.
Add a teaspoon of honey if you prefer a mildly sweet taste.
