After months packed with relentless projects, endless meetings, and constant demands on my time, I decided to treat myself to a small luxury: a window seat. There’s a rare kind of peace in gazing out at the endless sky, watching clouds drift beneath the wings – a quiet reminder that the world is far bigger than the confines of our daily routines. Sliding into my chosen seat, I felt a wave of calm wash over me. That serenity, however, didn’t last long.
A father and his young daughter soon occupied the two seats beside me. The little girl’s eyes lit up at the sight of the window but quickly dimmed with disappointment when she realized it wasn’t hers.
