A blind man walks into a restaurant and sits down.

Our story begins when a blind man walks into a cozy, family-owned restaurant. The restaurant owner, who also doubles as the waiter, takes notice of the gentleman and approaches his table. The blind man politely explains, “I’m sorry sir, but I am blind, and can’t read the menu. Just bring me a dirty fork from a previous customer, I’ll smell it and order from there.”

The Owner’s Confusion

Naturally, the owner is taken aback by this unusual request. He hesitates for a moment but decides to fulfill the blind man’s request. He walks over to the pile of dirty dishes, selects a greasy fork, and returns to the customer’s table with it. The blind man puts the fork to his nose and takes a deep breath. With confidence, he declares, “Ah, yes, that’s what I’ll have, meatloaf and mashed potatoes.”
